8.2.1 Cult and Heresy Claims

🚨 I searched your church online. Many people say you are heretical, fake, even a cult. They say you don’t read the Bible anymore. I don’t want to keep attending.

This is the fulfillment of the Lord’s prophecy | 这正是主预言的应验

  • When I first heard about the Lord’s return and saw all the rumors online, I had the same question. I wondered, If this is the true way, why are some people rejecting it?
  • I used to think that when the Lord Jesus come back, everyone on earth would welcome Him. But later I realized—that was just my imagination. The Lord never said that.
  • Instead, the Lord Jesus said: “But first must He suffer many things and be rejected by this generation.” (Luke 17:25) To be rejected means not welcomed. To be rejected by this generation means many people will refuse Him. So if we wait until everyone welcomes the Lord, we will never welcome Him — because the Lord never said that would happen.
  • The rumors and rejection we see online are actually the fulfillment of the Lord Jesus’ prophecies. The Lord told us two thousand years ago that this would happen. Instead of letting these things stop us, they give us even more reason to seek and investigate.

Why is the true way always rejected? | 为什么真道总是受逼迫？

  • The true way has always been rejected.
    • God told Noah the flood was coming, but people laughed, doubted, and refused to listen. In the end, only Noah and his family entered the ark.
    • When the Lord Jesus was working 2,000 years ago, only a few people followed Him. Even the religious leaders rejected Him. They kept questioning Him, judging Him, and trying to find faults in Him. They refused to accept His words. In the end, they even condemned Him and handed Him over to be crucified.
  • So, why has the true way always been rejected?
    • The first reason is that God does not work according to human imagination. Many people expect the Lord to come on a cloud, but they ignore the prophecies that He would return as the Son of Man in the flesh. So when they hear news of His return, they neither believe nor investigate. Wasn’t this also what happened 2,000 years ago? The Israelites expected their savior to be a king. But the Lord Jesus came as the son of a carpenter. Because of this, many refused to seek or follow Him.
    • The second reason is that mankind is deeply corrupted by Satan, they don't like the truth. Just as the Bible says: "that light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light..." (John 3:19) The truth exposes us. It reveals our corruption. It asks us to repent and change. And people do not like that. It is like telling someone, “You should stop chasing fame and money. You should live honestly before God.” What will they say? They will say, “Mind your own business.” People want blessings. They want comfort. They want to enter the kingdom of heaven. But they do not want judgment. They do not want pruning. They do not want to practice the truth. They want God to serve them — but they do not want to obey God. So when God expresses truths that expose and purify, many people resist, avoid, or condemn it.
    • When we understand this, we can see why people online accuse and slander. Who is writing things on the internet? People. Corrupted mankind. So the internet can never be the standard for determining the true way.

Consequence | 后果

  • If we follow the internet, then we are following people. The Bible warns us, “If the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the pit.” (Matthew 15:14) If we refuse to personally investigate and read God’s new words, and instead blindly follow what people say online, what will the result be? We will fall into the pit and be punished and destroyed along with them.

Principle of investigating the true way | 考察真道的原则

📖 “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.” (John 10:27)
  • God’s words tell us that when we seek the true way, the key is to listen for God’s voice and see whether these words are the truth.
    • When you read Almighty God’s words, do you feel that they are God’s words?
✨ Almighty God says, "It is not difficult to examine such a thing, but it requires each of us to first know this one truth: He who is God incarnate possesses the essence of God, and He who is God incarnate possesses the expression of God. Since God has become flesh, He brings with Him the work He intends to do, and since He is God incarnate, He expresses what He is, and is able to bring the truth to man, bestow life upon him, and point the way for him. Flesh that does not have the essence of God is decidedly not the incarnate God; of this there is no doubt. If man intends to examine whether it is God’s incarnate flesh, then he must determine this from the disposition He expresses and the words He speaks. Which is to say, to determine whether or not it is God’s incarnate flesh, and whether or not it is the true way, one must discriminate on the basis of His essence. And so, the key to whether or not it is the flesh of God incarnate lies in His essence (His work, His utterances, His disposition, and many other aspects), rather than external appearance. If man examines only His external appearance, and as a result overlooks His essence, this shows that man is foolish and ignorant."

✨ Almighty God says, "So, in distinguishing whether or not it is the true way, above all you must look at whether or not it has the work of the Holy Spirit, after which you must look at whether or not there is truth in this way. The truth, as it is called, is the life disposition of normal humanity. In other words, it is what was required of man when God created him in the beginning, namely, normal humanity in its entirety (including the reason of humanity, as well as insight, wisdom, and the basic knowledge of how to conduct oneself). That is, you need to look at whether or not this way can lead people into a normal human life, whether or not the truth that is spoken of makes requirements based on the reality of normal humanity, whether or not this truth is realistic and practical, and whether or not it is most timely. If there is truth, then it is able to lead people into normal and practical experiences; people, furthermore, become ever more normal, the reason of humanity that they possess becomes ever more complete, their life in the flesh and the spiritual life become ever more orderly, and their emotions become ever more normal. This is the second principle. There is one other principle, which is whether or not people have an increasing knowledge of God, and whether or not experiencing such work and truth can inspire a God-loving heart in them and bring them ever closer to God. In this it can be measured whether or not this way is the true way."

8.2.2 Why Does the Chinese Government Condemn This Church

🚨 The Chinese Communist government says your church is illegal and that you’ve committed many crimes. If this really is the true way, how could it be involved in such things?
